I have lived here for eight years and this was my first time attending this wonderful event. It was a great parade. The floats were all drawn by leg. There were dancers of all types. Children of all ages. And bodies is various states of dress. The only rule was that anyone not wearing fabric had to be covered in body paint. Oh yeah, I’m going again.
Every large city has it’s gay district and gat pride parade. Seattle’s isn’t as large or lavish as San Francisco’s or New York’s, but it is still an event to enjoy. For those of you visiting Seattle, head to Capitol Hill for the gay district. It really looks like any other neighborhood, except that you will notice more same sex couples. Meh! Nothing special there.
